This pattern is available in sizes 6 months[1 year, 2-3 years]. It’s worked in stockinette stitch from the bottom up, with raglan shaping and a V-neck. Instructions for a tubular cast-on are included for a neater finish. Optionally, you can knit two patch pockets after the cardigan is finished.

Yarn

200[250,250]g/456[570,570]yds of DK weight yarn (I used Sandnes Garn Merinoull)

Needles

• 3.5mm/US 4 (or size needed to get gauge)
• 3.0mm/US 3 (or one size smaller than needle used to get gauge)

Notions

• Stitch markers
• Buttons sized 1.5cm (5/8”) to 2.0cm (3/4”) (for the smaller sizes I recommend smaller buttons)
• Extra needle or scrap yarn
• Tapestry needle

Gauge in stockinette stitch 3.5mm/US 4 needle

23 sts and 32 rows = 10cm/4”
